1.       Visit to Department of Applied Chemistry, Centre for Ultimate imaging and spectroscopy at National Chau Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, to deliver an invited lecture in 1st Taiwan International conference on Raman spectroscopy and for research collaborative work during 2nd June to 7thth July, 2013. 2.       Visit to Gakushuin University, Tokyo under DST-JSPS joint project during 26th Nov. to 10thDec. 2012. [see photos]

3.       Visit to Tokyo Institute of Technology, Ookayama campus, Tokyo to delivered an oral presentation in the prestigious "International Symposium and Annual Meeting of Spectroscopical Society of Japan 2012" held during 27th November 2012 to 29th November 2012.

4.       Visit to Toyo University, Hakusan Campus, Tokyo to deliver a lecture (nominated by JSPS-Japan and Indian Embassy in Japan) in BNERC- IJAA Seminar on ‘Advanced Science and Technology’ at Tokyo during 7th – 8th December, 2012, organized as a part of the 60th anniversary celebration of India – Japan diplomatic relationship. 5.       Visit to Department of Applied Chemistry, Centre for Ultimate imaging and spectroscopy at National Chau Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, for research collaborative work and training on Raman spectroscopy  during 25th February to 24th March 2011[see photos]

7.       Visited Chiba University for attending and presentation in “International Symposium on Structure and Dynamics of Ionic Liquids”, held in Kazusa Akademia Hall, Kisarazu, Chiba, Japan during 2nd - 4th August, 2007. Delivered an invited talk on ionic liquids in 2nd International Congress on Ionic Liquids (COIL-2), held in Yokohama, Japan during 5th – 10th August, 2007. [see photos]

12.   Visited Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Gӧttingen (to Prof Klaas Zachariasse’s lab) under DST-DAAD fellowship programme for three months each (Sept. to Dec.) in 1999 and 2000. [See photos]

 

Organizing Lecture-workshop or/and Talks for students:

 

1)      Organized (as co-convener) 7th RSC-CRSI and 15th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Banaras Hindu University during 31st January to 3rd February, 2013. Total number of participants were 750. This was the first symposium of such huge magnitude in our department. [See photos]

2)      Organized (as coordinator) Science Academies’ Lecture-workshop on “Molecular Spectroscopy: Theory, Instrumentation and Application” at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Banaras Hindu University during 2nd-3rd March, 2012 for Students and college teachers. Total number of participants were ~230. This was the first Science Academies lecture-workshop in BHU. [See photos]

3)      Hosted and organized a talk and a classroom teaching for B.Sc. (3rd Yr) and M.Sc. students by Prof. Dilip Kumar Bhattacharya, Department of Chemistry, Jadavpur University, Jadavpur, Kolkata on “World of Small Objects: A Quantum Mechanical View” on 23rd March, 2012 in Department of Chemistry, BHU. 4)      Hosted and organized a talk and a classroom teaching for M.Sc. students by Prof. Hiro-o Hamaguchi, Department of Chemistry, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, in the Department of Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on Wednesday, October 18th 2011 at 11.30 am on “Raman spectroscopy: An Indian discovery will lead world of biomolecular sciences”. 5)      Hosted and organized a talk and a classroom teaching for M.Sc. students by Dr. Shinsuke Shigeto (Ph.D., University of Tokyo), Assistant Professor, National Chao Tung University, Taiwan, in the Department of Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi 24th-26th October, 2009.

6)      Hosted and organized a talk by Prof. H. Hamaguchi, Department of Chemistry, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, in the Department of Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on 1st February, 2007.

 

7)       Active member in organizing the Indo-Japan symposium held in The    University of Tokyo, Hongo campus, Tokyo during the February 2003. [See photos]
